The Gadfly was a successful West Valley College Philosophy Club project which began several years ago. It was first intended to be an undergraduate philosophy journal covering the usual academic topics. But in an attempt to show the relevance of philosophy to everyday issues, it has shifted its direction more toward education, technology, and culture criticism. Teachers can imagine how much student effort and persistence this kind of thing takes. On behalf of the philosophy department at WVC, I would like to thank all the students who made this production possible and to help to keep our philosophy department vital.
